I have heard it said that an entrepreneur's target audience is often him or herself ten years ago.
I can relate to that statement. I am building enterprises that provide opportunities, education, and funding for entrepreneurs and their families. Ten years ago I was seeking that out for myself and my family. As I reflect on my goals, I am grateful for the journey that has brought me this far. The struggles are real and understanding them from first-hand experience is valuable.
Ten years ago, I was exploring opportunities and education to bring my business dreams into reality. I didn't know much at the time about the road ahead. I needed guidance, so I looked for training and coaching from the right teachers and mentors. I was thrilled to find the ones that are committed to being on the journey with those they teach. That has made all the difference for me.
At the same time, I began the task of building my network. I knew I could not be an entrepreneur in isolation. The search for like-minded people opened up doors of opportunity that I didn't expect. I have been inspired, encouraged, and instructed by amazing entrepreneurs doing great work all around the world.
It is interesting to me that the opportunity to help people in challenging financial situations transpired into my business focused on relationship-based accounts receivable management. Learning to talk about money is a big part of any entrepreneurial endeavour, and it is my observation that it doesn't come easy to most people. Navigating money conversations to help everyone involved create good solutions has become my particular niche, a skill borne out of understanding and compassion.
I am interested to learn about the skillsets and expertise that have come from the journeys of other entrepreneurs. I am always curious to learn more about how we can collaborate to create a tapestry of all our gifts to the world, each one unique and each one valuable.
